No, we delete spammer account fairly regularly. We don't consider them real people, so we don't count them as official "bannings" in the sense of "We banned you because you said something that made me mad" that other boards might participate in. And Bannings are reversable, Deleted Accounts are not. We have yet to ban any real member for transgressions. Only way I can imagine someone getting the boot around here is by breaking the rules over and over, and even then only if they're doing it to intentionally cause problems.

Like SOME PEOPLE have posted pictures in the Thong Thread that went over the line. We delete them, and usually tell the user we deleted them and why, but we don't consider those "warnings" and we wouldn't ban someone for it, even if they're repeat offenders.

However if we took it down, told the user why, and they immediately put it right back up and said "Eff you I'll post what I want" and kept doing it no matter how many times we took it down, that MIGHT put you in the running...but even then it'd probably just be a cooling off Suspension.

And all this is conjecture on my part and *IN NO WAY* official board policy. Currently the only board policy I'm aware of regarding bannings is that we can ban spammers. At the end of the day, final rule would be whatever Sluggo and Rick say. They're the real cheif owners around here. I'm the third Admin, but am mostly a technical role.

Luckily, no real user has ever pushed us to even have to start the discussion. I think I speak for everyone on the moderation team when I say "We hope that never happens"

THIS particular spammer's account wasn't banned, it was outright deleted. You can tell because it says "Guest" and not "BANNED" under the name.

Normally I'd delete this thread, but I figure I'll leave it up for clarification purposes, since people saw it.
