I can't say enough about the day I had today. Thanks Craig Maynard for putting Toni and Vince in touch with us. Thanks Toni and Vince for letting us spend the afternoon with you and for feeding us. And especially Toni for all the thought she put into getting a card and the pictures and just everything. Thanks Ron, Dave and Gabby too for everything. It is always great to see Dave and Gabby. I also really enjoyed getting to know Ron and I look forward to MBBV and will do my best to be there. And thanks Duane for helping me make it out this weekend. I really really enjoyed spending the day with all of you and then spending time with Duane's wife and awesome kids.
Toni and Vince are just incredible. Words can't describe this couple and I stress that you really need to meet them. I took a few pictures at their home today. They have a beautiful place and a pretty nice collection of cars. Toni has a sweet blue 70 convertible, Vince has a 72 Mach 1 he has had it since it was almost new, I think he said it has just a few thousand miles on it when he bought it in 73 (let me know if I got that wrong). It was a DD and suffered from cancer pretty bad but you couldn't tell today. He also has a sweet 59 T-Bird, 67 Olds Delta 88 and a decent 68 Fastback. Oh and there was this Corvette too.
Duane and his family opened their house up to me and he has two incredible kids. Chip and Kate were a blast and so much fun. His wife made a great meal and desert. Overall it was a wonderful day even though the reason we all got together was sad. We all had a great time getting to know each other better.
Okay, enough of the mushy stuff.
Duane has J's tricycle in his basement! There I had to say it Duane, J is going to be pissed. Also, fortunately Kate's Leap-frog or leap-pad thing died before any photo's of me playing Bubble Guppies could be taken.

Vinny you have been holding out on me.....you know I will buy that green 67/8 with the c stripe don't you? That was my first mustang that Maria crashed...and I have spent years looking for another one close to it.....67 dark moss green, 351w, 4.11 9 inch ;)

Ohhh and its nice to see the rest of the fleet :thu

I've said all along that Vinny & Toni are like visiting your favorite uncle & aunt... Don't you agree?
Just watch out for Uncle Midlife (especially if you're wearing anything wool.)

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to pay your respects to Sam.

Vinny is a dead ringer for my gunsmith.

Duane was working pretty hard to take that off his hands...

It was an honor... thanks for giving us a place to hang out. I would have never got to know Sam if it weren't for the Fix

There will be a photo of the trike for the viewing pleasure of the board and dang, kid's toys eat batteries like they're candy!!!!!!!!! That would've been an epic pic. My house is always open to you and your family. From being part of the service to hanging out with everybody it was a great day. I think I have whiplash though from trying to listen to V&T talk over each other. Great crowd.

If I had an aunt and uncle like that I'd go to family reunions.

I so much know what you are talking about. We are so lucky out here on the left coast to have Vinny and Toni join us for the Fab Ford show at Knott's.

Again thanks for representing the Fix at the memorial.

It was our pleasure. Toni had a card that she basically "signed" from the 1100+ members. It was a nice touch.

Vinnie and Toni,

How come your grass is brown? Don't you water it?

Sure wish I coulda made it up today to remember Sam and meet those that went that I haven't met before. Unfortunately I couldn't get outta work. :(

I have to add my thanks to all that did attend for those of us that couldn't.

I too had a wonderful day. Toni, thanks for everything. You and Vinny are wonderful hosts. Your hospitality was awesome. I also got to meet another Fixer! It was a pleasure Craig! Look forward to seeing you one day in Myrtle Beach for an MBB! This forum brings out the best in people here. It's evident every day. I'm glad to be a part of this bunch. Now Toni, get out there and buy some lottery tickets! I want to go on that cruise! As far as the pink broom goes, I have a picture of you with it on my phone and as soon as I figure out how to get it on my computer, I will post it. I don't have a smart phone so it may take some creativity. Although I did send it to Craig. Maybe he can post it. Oh Cmayna...................you out there???????

Thank you guys for making a sad day bearable. Toni and I enjoyed having you all here. I'm glad you all got a kick out of the two of us, but thats us, what you see is what you get. If I knew you were going to take pics of my cars I would have uncovered them all. As for the interest in my 68 fastback, sit tight guys you never know what will happen. Hey Steve my grass is brown this time of the year, it is called Bermuda Grass and goes dormant in the winter and then gets green again in the spring and stays green until late Oct, and no it never needs water, I love it. I hope you all arrived home safely after a long day. It was our pleasure having you in our home. One other thing, thanks for not telling everyone on the forum I threw my back out putting in a toilet...How embarrassing..... :sm_TMI ...I forgot to mention the local newspaper Raleigh News and Observer had a big write up on the memorial service, you can see pics on this site...newsobserver.com/localpics

Here's the infamous pink broom

Oh and if you carefully look at the 4th pic you will see a Johnpro facemask and "To the bar" licence plate.
