Yes, finally decided to get away from life for 6 days to go camping up into the redwoods, visit my old high school / college stomping grounds but also to pay respect to my late brother.

We rented this '89 Westy (Westfalia) to go camping like we use to BC (before children).

First night...

Those vanagon's are in high demand. I bet the rental fee was steep compared to other vans/motor homes.

Close Jeff. We had smoked chicken pieces with sauted vegies over bow tie pasta. That got washed down with a bottle of Cardonnay. Tonight will be Salmon fillet over the fire.

aw c'mon, you're supposed to be roughing it.... that means hotdogs over the fire on sticks. trick is to not rotate them until one side is burnt & looks like the tops of marks ears when he was still outside in the florida summers.....

Tonights camping dinner:
Salmon fillet and corn on the cob cooked in foil over the camp fire.

Mixed rice and mozzi ball salad added to help balance out the meal. Belch!
