Talking to a supplier friend in....SOUTH CAROLINA.... last Friday and was telling him about my boiled peanut dilemma and low & behold....what appears on my doorstep but 5 lbs of raw peanuts. After soaking overnight, these jewels are now coming into all their glory!

and YES, I'll bring some to the show Saturday (as long as I don't ruin them, its been 20 years since I cooked up a batch)

Jealousy is soooo unbecoming :yikes

Jealousy hell, my Grandma used to keep a pot with a lid on it looking like that under the bed but she never put it on the stove........

The best thing you could do is dump them along the side of the road and call DMV that a volcano has suddenly appeared in Kansas, spewing out noxious chunks and is making a massive mountain of topography. They need to come with a bulldozer and flatten that quickly!

Congrat's on the score Mark. Forgive them for they know not of what they say. :crazy Are those jumbo's or regulars? Can't tell from the photo. And just how are you going to make 5 lbs. last until Sat.? That's a afternoons worth at my house. :danc

Actually I only cooked up 3 lbs, that's all the pot would hold! No worries about lasting, I'm the only one that will gorge on them. Deb likes them, but she eats like a bird.

I'll take a couple bags to the show, I'll probably need security to keep the crowd of boiled peanut lovers at bay :rofl

I recently flew to Salt Lake City to see a friend of mine who lives out there. I asked him what I could bring him and the only thing he wanted was boiled peanuts!!!

So I stuffed a bag with them and carried them right onto the airplane. I was worried the security would be concerned about them, but they didn't even bat an eye. Gotta love the south!

On our drive to the airport during MMB I, MYTOYS and I bought a bag of those peanuts. Never seen or tasted a nastier bag of crap.

All is right with the world, once again.

Those places usualy use "sun-dried" peanuts instead of green peanuts because they keep longer and yes, those do taste like crap. But green peanuts boiled at home (correctly), will make your tongue slap your brains out. :cool

Ah sheutt... I can't wait for Saturday now! We will have to photo document the historic event for all to see!

This is the type of food that looks the same going in as it does coming out. :headac

And at that point, why bother run it thru the system.....looks and taste most likely the same................ :yikes

We can take pics of THAT too, if you'd like Mikey.
