The wife said she REALLY wanted to stay on grounds at Disneyworld.

She usually is not demanding--she wants the early hour and the three later admission. Most of the cheaper resorts were already full for next spring, found rooms at the Orlando Lake Buena vista Hilton. Not the highest rated hotel (they are all over the board) but it was pretty reasonable. (compared to the $300. a night available in the theme resorts) It is near Epcot and across from downtown Disney. It is $98 a night plus tack-ons it came to $945 for a week. We will have that in meals probably, then the flight---it is cheaper going to the Caribbean.

The hotels are not booked! Disney hasn't released 2014 rates yet! Until they do, they show the hotels as "not available" which looks JUST like the hotel is full.

Ran into the same thing with our Feb. Trip. My Travel agent was able to book our room through a back channel!

You need to make sure the Hilton (which is on property, but is not a disney resort) will have access to the extra-hours...some do, some don't.

I have checked--the Hilton where I booked is one of the early admit ones. Most of the non Disney owned hotels are not.

Like I said earlier she is rarely demanding---I have slowly learned to "go with the flow" on some things---took me over thirty years to learn but I learned.
