This is so very true--I hated Algebra!

I used to feel the same way after leaving high school. Then I went into the military and on to technical school to be an aviation electrician. Who knew all that electrical stuff had algebra?!! Almost failed out of tech school until I caught back up.

Fast forward a whole BUNCH of years and a new career. As a cop, who needs algebra?! Then I got into the traffic division and began my collision reconstruction schools. Arrrrrgghhhh...algebra AGAIN!!! But wait, just for fun there was geometry AND trigonometry with it too!! Who knew?!!!!!!

You too? When I got out of high school, I said to hell with some algebra. Then went to college for electronics. Yea....ALL freakin algebra. I was so bad at it, they stuck me in remedial algebra for most of a semester. So here it is almost 20 years, and I haven't used algebra in 15 years.

Here in the engineering world, Algebra is wide spread. What I have found is that other organizations at my company use variations of Algebra.

Security uses non-Euclidian Algebra

Procurement uses cyno-alphabetic Algebra

Management uses entropy-laden Algebra
