Reminds me of our German Shepherd, Porsche who was about 18 months and completely shreded a dog pillow in the backyard. I'll have to dig up the picture. Our backyard looked like it snowed there.

After having boxers for so many years I have to ask why you would have expected any other result.

Having had my share for a long time now I learned long ago not to waste money on those things. The dogs will end up in my bed anyway.

Our female boxer is curled up in hers every night at the foot of our bed, every morning she has moved into bed with us, she is so smooth that rarely does she wake me.

My 5 year old Labradoodle went into the garage and got a sheet out of the rag box and took it to the 2 year old and 1 year old to play tug of war with. the 14 year old Shepherd mix stood there just looking at them. She was likely chuckling inside!

Welcome to my world with a six month old lab puppy....think he'll be a great dog when he gets about two years old just can't promise he'll live that long :whis :rant

I keep threatening to put the pup on the BBQ....stinker got into about 10 Walmart bags....what a mess!

I would sure like to know if Murphy and Toby egged him on!

Buster chewed a hole in the dry wall for some unknown reason the other day. :rant

We have a big gate to keep him locked up in the kitchen breakfast table area when needed. He periodically finds a new way to escape, I fix the gate and he starts looking for a new way to escape. He seems to think it's a fun game to see if he is clever enough to find a new way out....he's smart as can be but sometimes too smart for his own good, LOL!

I came home to a million tiny pieces of Walmart bags all over the garage.

All I can say is, Grover! He is the youngest and I think the other dogs put him up to stuff. He has ADD so bad!

I am not sure if he'll make it until his family can pick him up.

I had a dog named Grover too!

Quite a few years ago, our dog did the same thing with her foam bed. shredded the bottom. Then she moved to the tissue box and shred every single one. Then she got into the trash and shred all the USED tissues....AAAGGGHHHH!!!!!!!
We decided to keep the tissue boxes away from her from then on...

We learned to keep the tissue boxes away from Buster...along with the TV remote :whis

He got hold of a role of TP in the boys' bathroom the other day. I walked in and saw TP everywhere...grrrr....

when I had boxers, they were into everything! my bulldogs, not so much. lucy hasn't ever chewed up anything that wasn't hers, but she is afraid of everything! when chopper was alive, he would only both something when you made him mad. if you laughed at him, he would get pissed, go get his blanket out of the bedroom & try to tear it up. a few yrs ago, I bought the mrs a nice throw blanket to cover up with while watching tv. before she could use it, we went somewhere & he got mad because we didn't take him too. we came home to what looked like a crime scene. I don't think there was a piece of that blanket any larger than 2 sq in. he totally shredded it, then went & hid when he heard us coming in....

With boxers you know when something is wrong, they come out to greet you and then usually hang their head and retreat.

exactly! mine also had this thing where they acted like they were looking around the room for an exit strategy. eyes rolling around etc. looked like they had tourettes....

We have one, a half pit + half yellow lab, that's afraid of thunder. Talk about tearing stuff up! Her previous owner had to get rid of her because she was destroying his house when he was not home. He tried leaving her outside. She would escape the fence. Put her in the house, destroy everything. Put her in a cage, she breaks out. His vet told him to zip tie the cage shut and give her valium. Great idea! That just made her crazier and more desperate. Yes, she escaped and jumped through a closed window. That was the last straw. He decided he had to get rid of her. That wise old vet told him she would have to be put down, because no one would adopt a dog like that. I think you know what happened next. He told my wife what the vet said and, suddenly, we have a new dog! It turns out that what she hates most is being left home alone, which her previous owner did quite a bit. Either my wife or I are home most of the time, so, she's calmed down a lot now. We lock her in the bathroom, where she can do the least damage, when it's stormy and we can't be home. So far, the major damage has been limited to a chewed up door facing and some broken window blinds.

She needs a place that is like her "den" during a storm. Our Corky/Shephard mix is scared of loud noises. thunder drives her nuts. Well it did until she started going deaf! We have a large walk in closet and we put her bed in there and left the door cracked open. she goes in there when it is stormy and just goes to sleep! Problem solved.

When you leave, not sure what to do about that. We had to section off a part of the garage so the dogs could not get into anything. I hate it, but until Grover leaves to his family, we have to do something to keep them safe. they have gotten in to rat poison causing a vet visit and subsequent bill! they are fine now, but way too scary to allow them all access to my garage. Who knows what is there for them to get into.
