We celebrated my birthday this weekend by heading to a casino and seeing the "Australian BeeGees Show" (which I'll admit was pretty damn good), eating at a really nice restaurant, then heading off to this place for night caps:

Have to say it was a great throwback bar, and we'll certainly be going there again!

My birthday haul included the book "Tiki Road Trip" and it reminded me of some pretty cool places/dives. Anybody here into the Tiki vibe?

One of my favorite driving songs is the extended version of The Tiki Bar is open by Jimmy Buffett.

Probably yesterday, seeing as your kind, sensitive hand written birthday wishes are always a day late ( or we are a day ahead!!)

Did you know, In the Tiki Room the birds sing words and the flowers croon?

Well the birds were certainly singing - with the "zombies" flowing like water. In the morning, the birds had turned into jackhammers.

It was Friday night...
