Tire and Wheel sizes and backspacing help needed.

I have a 67 Fastback it has a 03 Cobra irs under it. and Cobra 13 inch front disk brake setup with 68 drum spindles. Anyone know what the best wheel and tire sizes and backspacing would be for this. Looking at the Shelby 427 wheels.

What width is the IRS? IIRC the Cobra IRS is wider than the stock mustang solid axle. You will need more backspacing than the wheels made to fit our cars, or the late model type rims. The front should be no different than others, as the Cobra discs shouldn't change the track width.

When i measured the irs i got 62 inch's wide

As far as backspacing on the rear goes I would contact DVS restoration. They sell a kit to do the conversion.

What kit did you use on the front? I am using a Mustang Steve Cobra brake conversion kit and was able to use stock backspacing wheels. IIRC Vintage Venom requires you to use modern Mustang BS wheels for them to fit correctly.
