Having second thoughts on the mustang seats. Mainly because the ones I had found were not to my liking when I went to see them in person. Not the shade I wanted.
Well, now I have come across a different option that has me intrigued. BMW 335i power seats in imola red leather. Hoping to be able to go check them out tonight. Judging only by pictures I was provided, I think from a scale standpoint they will fit well. I'll know for sure once I can get a tape measure up against them.

I don't suppose anyone has experience here...?

Where I could use some help is locating a wiring diagram for them. It's for a 2009 335 seat(s). So far my internet searching has turned up nothing. Since they are both full power EVERYTHING including heaters and air bags there are a ton of wires to sort out. Would love to just identify each connector pin instead of having to dissect it all. Wouldn't be too fun to go to move the seat back and have an air bag explode!

- don't know for sure the seats will fit BUT, I think its doable. I've installed 2000 Mustang seats and 2006 Viper seats into my 66. With the factory seat risers I sat way too high in the car. I used the factory forward seat holes to mount the tracks, but my newer seat trcks extended farther back, so I made spacers and ran bolts through the rear floor pan which I reinforced with extra layers of steel on both sides. Sitting higher up was uncomfortable, and I'm only 5'7". I had removed the seat rizer and lowered it about 1/2 way and reinstalled and it was still aukward as the riser tilted back. The front of the seat lifted up on my knees and cut off my circulation on long trips. I eventually removed the riser altogether and welded 2 3/16 thick plates between the rocker flange and the tubular subframe commectors. The plates extend all the way to the beginning of the trans tunnel so they made great mounting points for my driveshaft loop. Drilled holes for the new seat tracks. To the point, the newer seats are made for a lower and flat floor.

Given all that, I do own a 2006 BMW 325i which uses the same seats you are talking about, and yes, very comfortable! I won't be home for another 6 months unfortunately. The drivers seat has 2 memory presets, hopefully stand-alone with the seat which would be nice. Both seats have 3 levels of heat range, lumbar bladders built in (and do have a cutoff so you won't overinflate), forward and rearward motors, front and rear tilt/rise/drop adjustments. I think these seats will be best mounted on a flat floor. I thint the front mounting tan on the track is tilted almost vertical, with it bolting (bolt goes horizontal through the tab) into a piece of square tubing with threaded holes. I like the head rests too. I have heard of someone using these BMW seats in an early Mustang, it was a few years ago but they made it work I believe with less issues the I had with the Viper seats.

The first set of seats i bought for my car were BMW seats, when i looked into having them recovered is where i had some sticker shock. The seats were like 6 or 7 individual pieces, which greatly increased the cost of the work. The seat, knee pad, side bolsters, seat back, headrest. The seats your looking at may be different, just food for thought. Ended up reselling them to a guy a few blocks over who wanted them for his Mustang project.

I forgot to update this one, sorry. Went and looked at the seats in person they were not the shade of red the seller promised. More of a coral. Too bad because the physical size would have worked. If I have to recover a seat I'm sticking to my original Fiero seats.
