Took my boy to first monster jam

I took my boy to his first monster truck show. Before he came along the wife and I went to the show for every valentines day. I wish they would have more of the demolition derby's. This one had the quad runners and the barrel racing jeeps. On a funny note one of the remote controlled trucks that was running during the break got crushed by the tractor that was cleaning up the track. Grave digger had some problems and as a last ditch effort to please the crowd rolled his truck. The delay on my camera makes it hard to take any good pics of any good air. It looks darker on these pics than it did at the show.

My boys and I used to be among the guys with the R/C's. It would suck to have one crushed! It was always fun to do the "pit party" and hang out with the drivers and crews. I've done shows at the Pontiac Silver Dome, Metro Dome in Minnasota, Allstate Arena in Chicago and the GEK in Nashville. Also done the Diggers Dungun shows with Dennis Anderson.
 
He loved it. He did start getting a little anxious though. I think when the RC car got crushed it got the loudest applause out of the crowd. We would have liked to get him right next to the trucks for a pic but it didn't happen. When we were leaving they were trying to get grave digger back on its wheels. That is the only truck I like. We never see Dennis Anderson here. We always get one of the other drivers.
