Towing a car

Isn't there a website where you can put tow jobs up for bid, kinda like priceline? Looking at another project, and since I dont have a way to tow it, trying to find the cheapest route.

Its fairly local, only about 30 miles. Thing is I dont have a truck or any friends that own a truck, or a trailer for that matter. Its a '53 Ford, without a motor or trans or interior.

Where is fairly local? I'm in SoUtah.

Um, you could rent a Uhaul truck, the small and cheap one and a tow dolly or trailer. You will want to tell them you are towing your DD because they will want to rent you the big truck and trailer due to the size and weight of a truck with an engine in it.

Depending on where it is, I was thinking of doing some car transport work with my trailer when the bus driving was slow.

Thats what i was thinking!

I found someone on Craig'sList that tows cars on a flatbed trailer for extra cash. There were multiple listings under the Automotive Services category.

I checked the Uhaul website yesterday, its 19.99 a day to rent the small Uhaul truck, plus $.79 per mile and $55 to rent a trailer. So, with the 60+ mile round trip I'm looking at around $125, I may as well have it flatbeded for that kind of cash. A tow dolly may be a little cheaper, but with 3k lbs+ back there, I think I would prefer a trailer.
