First let me start off with saying that I'm running a TKO, an original TKO (with a pro 5.0 shifter), not a II, 500 or 600 behind my 5.0. This shouldn't matter, but the rotating assembly is 28 oz, with a custom Hayes pressure plate, and a McLeod throwout bearing.
I bought the tranny used from a buddy over on the VMF, Kent aka kketell. Ever since I first installed it, it's hard to explain, but it was tough to get into gear. It was very solid hard shifts. I'd describe it as chunky. But on the way home the shifting was a lot softer, more slushy. It was kinda easy to get into gear. Does this make sense?
Do I need to yank this thing out and go through it? or should it be shifting like this from the beginning?
thanks
