Transmission issues

guruatbol

Always on vacation!
In my 92 F350 I have a 460 and auto trans. When first started and you shift from park to any gear it goes into gear but will not move until it warms up.

It also has a power issue. Gotta floor it to keep it up to the speed limit.

The CAT has been removed. There is a vacuum issue affecting the AC, but I think that is unrelated. I think the valve under the dash is bad as well as a couple lines under hood are bad or missing. Add to that I think the brake booster is going and there seems to be a lot going on.

The engine is pretty fresh and transfer case is new.

Could this just be a need for service or a bad converter?

Odometer says 199k. I don't know age of trans.

Nope, this is my farm truck. I would hate to treat a new truck like this.

I just use it on trips less than 75 miles. I go fishing in it and haul dirt and horse crap in bulk in it. It sits in winter and during the week. It had 198k on it when I got it 9 months ago.

Transmission fluid low ??
Vacuum/load hose loose ( if any is mounted )
Isn't that a 4R70W trans ?

I think it is the other one. I have only checked online. I need to get under it. Right now it has 3 yards of dirt in it.
