Trouble On The Dyno

Finally, I'm going to be able to try out this bad 390. This was the dyno test at Jim Grubb Automotive after they rebuilt, and improved, the engine. Horsepower was 430, and the torque just kept climbing. Even Jim Grubb was amazed.

Ooo, ooo, engine porn! :p Sweet big blockness.

But I have to admit for just a split second the thread title gave me pause.

I will have to pull the dyno sheets and get them interpreted, but I believe it was around 400. I'll be seeing Jim Smart when I pick up Trouble, so I'll ask him about it. He will be taking photos of the car since he was instrumental in getting my car to David Toth.

IIRC the stock '67 S code 390 was rated at 320 horsepower and 427 foot pounds under the old standard.
