I don't have any "NOT" installed. It looks just like the original Mustang latch except it has a solenoid on it. I loaded a pic or two of the glove box lock and push button also...

Yep, That looks like the correct spot. There should be a dimple in the metal where the hole needs to be drilled.

Craig, it appears your latch area is already clearanced for the electric latch. I had to trim mine a little:

See the part inside the red ellipse. Yours seems to be already cut away. Did you do that, or was it already like that?

Another thing, what's the possibility of something in the glove box accidentally activating the button? Is there any way to make the button flush mounted or even recessed? I really like that idea, maybe the button could be mounted on the top surface of the box?

I didn't modify the latch area, I guess I got lucky! And the button takes some effort to push but you are right, I suppose something could hit it just right. I don't keep anything in the glove box however that could hit the button hard enough.

Here is a picture of my release button. There are not any isssue with the glove box door hitting it.

Here's my latch. It came out of a '76 Lincoln Versailles. I had to trim one of the bottom corners before it would bolt in nicely.

John, the tumbler cover is missing from your trunk lock. Does this mean that any key will open your trunk?
