Want to buy a sound bar for my 55 inch TV, any suggestions...I was looking at the bose bar for about $360 bucks, sound bars range in price from $100 to a Bazzilion dollars, I am confused.

Same here...I might add a sound bar but I sure wouldn't get rid of my 7.1 ( you just can't replicate that room-filling-sound )"dodgestang" said:My recommendation would be to either simply stick with the TV regular sound or to go with a full 5 or 7.1 surround sound system. I've never listened to a sound bar that was worth the price and considering you end up doing all the same things (running wires to/from tv) figuring out remote control configurations, etc. as a real surround sound setup with the exception of running rear speaker wires.....I will take that slightly extra effort any day of the week for the improved sound.
