Renting a 39 foot Fleetwood Providence motor home and heading to Morro Bay for the week with the in-laws. We'll attend Ash Wednesday services at the San Luis Obispo Mission and hit up Hearst Castle on Thu before heading home.

This RV is a beast!

Sounds like fun! The central coast is my favorite place on the planet!!!!!

My youngest lives in SLO. My oldest and her hubby are there now visiting with the grandson.

Steve,
I've been wanting to try Beach House Bistro's clam chowder. Heard it I fantastic.

Stop by Sebastian's cafe in San Simeon, on the west side of Hwy1 across from Hearst Castle. Thye have great sandwiches and salads. Not sure of getting your behemoth parked there though.

Try Rosie's or something like that in Morro Bay. Great breakfast and they allow dogs. Also one more on boardwalk, I can't remember the name but it is the 9nly dog friendly breakfast place on the boardwalk. Both had great breakfast.

Get you fill of linguicia it is awesome! I can't spell but you get the idea. No place this side of Portugal has as good of stuff.

Now you've got me craving their cheeseburger. :thum

Mid trip update:

Made it here with no issues. Rv's TV wiring was AFU but I fixed it. Also had to fix the shower and something leaked under the driver's side slide out.

Cooked some tri-tip, potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic in the Dutch oven.

Picked up rental car this afternoon, we'll tool around SLO n Morro Bay tomorrow.

Thanks for the tips on where to go. We stopped at the House of Bread in SLO and will stop there tomorrow.

Too late. Apparently they are closed.....

Make sure to stop by catano brothers in SLO for all your jerky needs!

I think their jerky is better than mine. That's really saying something.

I get their pieces cause you get a little of everything they make.

Completed the trip Thu evening.

Spent Thu at Hearst Castle and stopped at Sebastian's for a burger. Also picked up three Hearst Ranch ribeyes and will throw them on the grill this evening (seperate post in kitchen section).

RV 8 MPG.

Drool!

I did have a good burger tonight at a local restaurant, The Running Rooster, in Hollister. Almost as good.
