Very, very nice garages...

Some really nice chit, but they look more like museums than garages, I didnt see but a few that looked as if any work got done in them.
 
My thoughts exactly, Rick. They are beautiful places to PARK some cars. Now let's see somewhere to WORK on some cars!!!

My guess is that for the most part people who are insanely rich enough to afford that kind of garage with those kinds of cars in them don't do any car work other than pick up the phone and call the mechanic to schedule an appointment when something needs to be done.

My buddy that runs a restoration shop has a customer who is crazy rich and is always paying him to do something to one of the many cars in his collection. On any given day if you go by my buddy's shop the odds are better than average this customer has at least one of his cars in for anything from a minor repair to a full paint. I went over there the other day and one of the cars the guy owns was in and there is always a project to make a custom deal out of some sort of old wagon sitting on the rack but my buddy can never get to because the guy keeps side tracking him with other projects on his other cars.

That's what I'm still trying to figure out...I dunno if it's a place for obscenely rich folks to brag or high school dropouts to drool over pics they've stolen from elsewhere on the internet? Either way, it's downright amusing.
