Waiting for the new car sucks....

This is about the 4th or 5th new car we have had to order over the years. Every time, the wait sucks. I did get the salesman to find the VIN about a week ago after I informed him it was possible. Tues. makes 3 weeks of a projected 6-8 week wait. I will see if he knows how to get a firmer delivery date in the morning.

One good thing is the '66 is taking the extended use great. I have run almost 1500 miles since I sold the '07 3 weeks ago. Really tough having to drive the '66 everywhere, lol. Took us 30 min. to get 100 feet from the car to a restaurant for lunch today with all the conversations about it.

OK, I'm done complaining now......

It's a PT Focus with a Pinto drive train and fuel system......sure to pass a certain Mustang.......lol

'10 Focus Coupe, Sterling Grey, Black Leather/heated, 5 speed, Moon Roof, Sync with radio upgrade/9 speaker system, 17" wheels, sport exhaust and "European" handling.......or, everything that Ford offered......

We will expect a complete right up within the first few days of delivery pete. Any takers on the '66 yet?

Lots of bites but they all seem to have money issues. Had a couple of idiots think I would finance them, and others looking for a perfect car for under 10,000. lol If it does not sell, it will be stored, I am not desperate for sure.

It was one or the other and the 5 speed is more fun plus, I need a manual to be able to tow it flat behind the RV. That is the entire reason for this car purchase.....

Projected look...

I am tired of teaching this salesman how to do his job......

Projected build date is the week of 14 Dec. with it arriving here just after Christmas......we shall see.

Well, according to info on the Ford web sites, once a window sticker is available on line, the car will be built starting in 1 week. I just got a window sticker....car will be built as the salesman predicted, 14 Dec. Projected delivery is 28 Dec. Getting closer.

Years back we purchase a new Dodge minivan. Went to pick it up and there was paint problems so I wouldn't buy it. My wife took down the VIN in case they tried to repaint and resell to us...they didn't. My little daughter cried because we didn't get to take a new car home.
