Was this wrong?

Hey Dave,

Every Monday I go get the groceries after work while the boys' sitter finishes up their homework with them, etc. Just frees up my weekend and I can get it done a lot faster without dragging two 8 yo's along.

I am usually in a hurry and trying to race through the store and grab what I need.

Last evening, I was trying to get at the microwave diners and some very large woman (and I mean really large) was taking forever to study the labels on the diet diners. I finally had to move her cart myself to get by so for whatever reason she decides to glare at me for daring to touch her cart. Before I even thought about it and because I was seriously pissed at this point I said something to the effect of "don't know what's taking you so long, the diet diners are obviously not doing you much good."

Is this a sin for which I need to pay some sort of atonement for?

Yes. It's common knowledge that Saturday afternoons are the best time to cruise through the frozen food aisle's.

If you go on Mondays after work it's nothing but rude fat ladies.

Shame on you for this blunder.

Wow, at first i thought that was going to go an entirely different route. Something about you and the baby sitter. Where did you go wrong! :pbj

Ok, I'll try to get the gross images out of my head on that one. The sitter has a son that is almost as old as me, maybe 10 years younger than me. She' probably around late 50's. I am not into the whole granny gets some thing thank you much, LOL!

That is why when we picked a new sitter, after one retired, I argued for the 20 something mom that was running a day care as opposed to the "retired" couple that ran a day care. Not that she is 6 feet tall, slender with a nice rack had ANYTHING to do with it. :naug It really was a great choice at the time for many reasons. She is still a good friend, my daughters girl scout leader and the reason that my daughter is involved in swim at school. We were just at her 35 bday party last week.

Since I am here the original post was telling Large Marge to hurry up and pick one. Dude I would think the same thing but not have the balls to say it. :scar fd

Have you considered that maybe she was just starting out on the diet and not a veteran of the yo-yo program, hence the reading of the packages? Regardless, cudos for a quick-witted comment, I'll try that on SWMBO next time I want to set her off.

i had a similar situation a while back. had a "biggun" behind me in line at the checkout that kept bumping me with her cart (she was browsing the candybars & not paying attention). after the third time, i snapped my head around & gave her one of those looks, which she half smart a$$y replied "excuse me". i immediately replied with "what'd you do, fart?"

i didn't get bumped with cart anymore... :vic

The main reason the lady ticked me off is the glare she gave me when I dared touch her cart. Most people would have been like "O-man I'm sorry" or something along those lines.

Drives me crazy these days how many folks out there think it all about them.

We have a small fu fu / snobby type grocery store that is attached to our parking garage at work. I can't count the times some jerk has been loading their cart of stuff into their car painfully slowly while some other jerk sits and waits for them to pull out while the line of people trying to get back to work that they are holding up goes from the second floor down to the first and almost out of the garage...usually they sit and wait while there is an open space about three or four spaces down the row. Needless to say, I've been known to honk at those people and tend to be very testy with them in general. Heaven forbid if they had to walk an extra three or four parking spaces, forget the fact they are backing up traffic...it is all about them after all.

Did you actaully say anything - like "excuse me", or " Hey, I need to grab something in there as well" or "the Ho-Ho's are over there - Fetch" ?

Or did you just move her cart? If you would have done that to me, without even saying anything, I probably would have throat punched you. I'm just sayin'...

I read labels at the store for nutritional content when comparing items.

I really thought that I had more pics of her, but I could only find 2. This one is 7 years old and that would be mine behind the podium. Guess that I need to take some more without appearing to be a stalker. :naug fd
