Waterbourne paints

When Steve(TexasAxMan) was over at my home, he mentioned he was checking into water based car paints. I'd never heard of such a thing, so I googled it, and there were many hits! This site below tells a bit about it. I understand it, but one still has to use conventional primers, and clearcoat, but I guess it keeps some VOC's out of the atomosphere!

Many counties here in Calif made it mandatory. Lot's of the shops hate it.

I don't think a lot of diy's will be spraying it in there garage. It might be better for the so called atmosphere but it is more deadly to the painter over the solvent based paints, they forgot to mention that. Rich.
