Always on vacation!
OK, I have several computer systems and some are getting very dated. The one in the office which doubles as a file server has only IE. I hate it and because of how I set it up, I forgot the password I can not change it.

SWMBO's system was the speedy one 5 years ago and uses IE or Firefox. I like Firefox. Works well, but has become update happy!

On one of the notebooks around here, there is a copy of Opera. It is OK, I just don't care for the look.

Today I installed Chrome on my notebook. I was using Firefox and as I said it has become update happy. Everytime I turn around it is asking me to upgrade.

After using Chrome for a few hours, I really like it. It seems simple and straight forward. It is crisp and clear and not cluttered. It seems to be faster too.

Just thought I would post a review. If I forgot to mention something, feel free to add it.

This is a perfect topic for Gum Flappers. Hehehehe

Been using Chrome on my PC for about a year and it just came out for Mac.

I prefer it over anything. :iesux

I'm running FireFox 2.0.0.3 at home and have turned off the automatic update notifications. It works just great for me!

Firefox 3.x.x runs fast and flawless for me. I always look to see what the update is before letting it run. Mostly patches and security fixes. Don't care how often it updates if it's fixin stuff.

Mel, I don't have the link right now, but there is a tool out there that will boot your computer from the CD Drive, with a whole bunch of cool utilities, one of which will let you change the administrator password.

There are also utilities that try to decrypt the admin password but have had very little success with those. Just seems easier to overwrite the password with a new one.

If you're interested I'll look around. It's got other great boot-up utils as well, but that's the one I use most often.

Guys patching is a good thing! Let Firefox do the updates while I agree there have been quite a few lately they are security updates, much better than relying on anti-virus.
