Welcome 66notch

:thu hey ya beat me to the punch with the first post, pretty quick out of the chute buddy.

So just getting back to the ponies after too long.

Picked up a 66 survivor a month or so ago. Coded for the 3 speed but has a 4 speed with hurst shifter, 289 2v pony interior, armstrong steering and drums all around, hubcaps are beat, there are a few flaws but an excellent platform for a restomod me thinks.

It was inherited from the Dad apparently ( I bought it from the Daughter) he bought it from the original owner in 77 had not drove it for health reasons for about 7 years now, shows 62,595 miles on the clicker. How likely is it not 162,000 or even 262 I don't, know looks pretty clean and runs pretty tight for 200 thats for sure.

Not sure what I want to do with it regarding dialing it in to my style.
Ordered a small bag of chrome from a place called American Pony Parts in Blaine Washington.
Looking for a set of styled steel wheels (open to suggestions on 14" or 15x7" and where the nicest product can be found)
Will for sure do a disc conversion at least for the front (any suggestions or links on this would be appreciated.)
Need to get it up on a hoist and check the front end, steering box feels not bad but if I find any flaws in the front end its going to be roller perches et al.

Oh ya... the 289 stroker sounds pretty trick.

So here we are, please stand by.

Sincerely,
Martin
