Welcome Bondo

Thanks for the welcome. I guess it's appropriate to tell a little bit about myself now. I saw my good friend 65coupei6 at SAAC-35 over the weekend and he told me that this is where all the cool Mustang people are hanging out now. I'm not that cool, but I am definitely a Mustang person. My wife and I have owned a '66 Convertible, '67 Fastback, an '84 SVO, a .99 Cobra Convertible and a 2005 GT Convertible. We currently have a '65 Convertible, a '66 Coupe, a '67 Mustang Jr. and a 2001 ex-Bondurant GT open track car. Our daily drivers are a 2010 Taurus SHO and a 2003 F-350. We have been involved with the Mustang hobby as Editor, Webmaster, President, Treasurer, Membership and a host of other positions for our local Mustang club. My wife is a ex-National Director of the Mustang Club of America. Our son is starting to drive karts at Sears Point (Infineon) and I'm hoping to follow him on the F1 circuit some day (all right, it won't happen, but let a Dad dream). I'm currently building a 427 Cobra replica using an old Butler frame and an Arntz body that have been sitting for 30+ years waiting to be made into a car. I'll try to get some pictures up soon for your enjoyment. Thanks again and I look forward to participating in the future.

Welcome to the StangFix Bondo. Nice write up but we do need some pics.

Do a build thread on that Cobra!

Post it here, in the members build thread board.

I'd have to find time to work on it first. I'm currently busy remodeling the garage and trying to keep the track car and Ramp Truck running so that I can have some fun. SAAC-35 was hard on my vehicles. The ramp truck broke the shifter tube in the steering column, the trailer I borrowed to bring the Mustang home blew a tire running empty on the way to the track and the track car seized the driver's side hub coming down the back stretch at Sears Point at about 115 mph. Thank God I was going in a straight line between 9 and 10 or I probably would have stuffed it in to a wall.

silverblueBP -- sorry to worry you. I'm no chameleon. I don't even like reptiles. I do have pet turtles, though.

Welcome Bondo. ( I too am brand spankin' new to this site :headac) --- Great intro and a fine stable of cars.

Sorry to learn SAAC 35 was such an ordeal. Glad to know you are safe though. The last SAAC I went to was at Watkins Glen with my sons back in I think it was 1992. And I even own a Shelby and never brought it to any! Someday.

Welcome again. :pbj
