Welcome Caver 66

Welcome aboard Caver!

I have a puppy named Carver, could this be him??

Hi guys, and thanks again for the welcome!
Here's a little introduction of what I have, and what I'd like to do. I have a '66 coupe that was bought by my dad in '67. It was a family car, and then driven by me until 1984. It got pretty rusty and I started body work in 1984, and the car hasn't been touched since 1988. Now it's sitting with the body work done and in primer since the 80's. Surface rust is coming through due to moisture in the garage.
The car currently has a 289 2V automatic. The engine will need to be rebuilt.
I'd like to have a 289 4V with a mild cam, and a 4 speed transmission. I'll need a lot of guidance to put that engine together, along with the transmission conversion, and correct drive train parts.
Here are some pictures I found of body work I did on the car back in the 80's.
