At 3pm this afternoon I got a call from the company that I supposed to start working for tomorrow. The "big" contract that was suppose to start this week has been pushed back 6 weeks. So they do not need me to start yet. She was like you need to what is best for your family, that is continue looking for a job. I have not taken down any of my resumes yet, so the job search will continue.
I guess that I will have to continue my posting in the VGOFL to earn my keep here. I know how much the mods must hate me having to examine my work making sure that I did not cross any lines. :craz
One last note is that I not let crap like this get to me, the only thing that I find upsetting is this post here having to let everyone know that I did not work out yet and the couple of phone calls that I need to make to friends and family. fd
 
Hate to hear it man. On a side note, Rick is your personal moderator. Some things I (and other mods) just can't seem to moderate appropriately and therefore let the Village People Idiot handle it.

That just sucks. I guess having my biggest client back out on a big tour is nothing compared to that. At least I am working still.

I know everything will work out for you, you are a great person and there is going to be that perfect job out there for you!

I'm really sorry to hear about this, Tim. I've had this happen before and the old adage: "One door closes and another one opens" has always worked out for me. That means you'll be getting an even greater position!

Have you set up a profile on the professional networking site LinkedIn? That's a great way to make contacts and learn about available positions. Send me a PM if you're interested.
 
Sorry to hear of the setback Tim, hopefully something will pop up soon and you can try it for 6 weeks and if you don't like you can go to the first one when it becomes available.
