Well???

I realize that I'm missing a vital piece, but what do you think of the new wheels? Those big discs look good behind there too.

Good looking wheel.

We should see more pics of the car though, Looks like a nice piece :weas

Thanks!! I've got to get some brake line brackets welded on before I can button up the rear.. still lots to do up front.

Hopefully, this week I can get my camber kit installed up front and get the front suspension installed.

I'm taking pics as I go so I'll post some on my build thread.

I'm thinking of these:

Does anyone have any experience with Dunlops?

Reading the reviews it appears that they're a great purpose built tire, but may be lacking for all around use.

From the manufacturer...

Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec summer tires are not intended to be driven through snow, on ice or in near-freezing temperatures.

From user reviews.....

Downside - Noisy tire though when travelling too and from track. Aquaplaning - not good when going through standing water.

If you are looking for a smooth, quiet, well mannered tire, this is not it. If you are looking for a tire that will unleash your vehicles full potential, I give you the Z1 Star Spec. When comparing this tire to others I have used in the same category, I have no choice but to give it all 10's. In comparison it is exceedingly smooth and quiet, cornering stabilty and steering response are second to no other street tire. Simply the best dry traction, remarkable wet grip, and, in my opinion great tread wear make this the best extreme summer performance tire available.

I always liked those wheels. I like the Shelby 10 spoke wheels as well, these look much cleaner, especially on a non-shelby car. Great choice!

Thanks, I wanted to pick something that wasn't used as much on the older Mustangs, but still looked vintage. The Torq Thrust wheels look stunning on an old Stang, but there's just too many of them out there for my taste. At the end of the day, it was a contest between the Shelby 10 spoke and these 8-spokes.

Dave,

I've read most of the reviews about the Direzza tires and the description of that tire is exactly what I'm looking for. :) I came close to getting DOT competition tires, but they tend to kick gravels all over the place and only last for 3000 miles.

only last for 3000 miles

I'm calling BS on that! I can't get my DOT comps to last more than 500 miles :ecit

Course, those are all track miles :pbj
