Went down by the lake.

Decided to drive by the lake on my way home today. Here's something you warm climate people may never see.
It's shanty towns. Usually there are a lot more out there. Sturgeon spearing season started last weekend. With all the warm weather I didn't think there would be enough ice.

Great pic !! I am not a "warm climate man " but never seen a big frozen lake !!!

Saves you a couple of hours when you have to be on the other side of that lake !!

Remembers me of that movie " grumpy old man" with Walter Mathau and Jack Lemon :thu :thu :thu

That ginger hottie lit those guys candle !!! :hide

Nice photo. Forget the fishing, all I can see is one heck of a place to drift. Now that would be a hoot.

Re: Went down by the lake.

I am not into ice fishing myself. I was driving my jeep at the time and really wanted to go out and drive around but I had my little girl in the back. It's one thing if I sink, but I don't want to take her down with me. There are a lot of thin spots and holes in the ice due to the warm winter so far.
