Spent the weekend (4 days) at Laguna Seca Raceway for the IMSA races. Although it was a spectatorless race (no tickets were sold) I found a loophole. Last week I took a ride to Laguna and found out that although they were not allowing spectators the county that owns the track and the campground on track property was allowing camping. A big $35/nt with electricity. And campers were allowed to roam the property....and if there was a race...well stop and watch. Of course the paddock was closed, there were no vendors, no food but hey I had a trailer with all the amenities. Our spot was just above turn 5. Took a couple chairs down the hill and set up in the shade. There were about 100 or less people wandering but most campers took up watching from the campground hills. Waking up to the sound of Lambos readying for practice....sweet.
