My son just informed me one of the guinea pigs was laying on it's side making a funny noise. I'm thinking don't guinea pigs always make funny noises and not really thinking the worse. I went upstairs to see what my son was talking about, reached in the cage and no movement. Damnit. I get my stethascope, listen, no respiratory sounds or heartbeat. :sad

Now the kids only have one piggie, Reeses. The one who isn't as friendly. He can be held, but Butterfinger was the more friendly of them and the kids favorite. I told my son, in the morning we'll run to Lowes to buy some stones and we'll bury him in the backyard.

RIP little Butterfinger.

Thanks but damnit I wish I had read about JohnPro FIRST. Now I feel shitty for posting about a guinea pig passing away. :shy

Eh, don't sweat it. Nobody around here is gonna freak out. It's the internet. Not like we're all sitting around having a conversation or something.

If one only spoke up when there was a major loss, many would never know how to deal with the worst. It is dealing with all things in life that allow us to deal with close, personal losses. You did fine.

For the record.. the month of August is cursed. Atleast it seems that way. My own father passed away last year, Aug 1st 2009. He had a stroke, and was in a coma for a couple months and I had to go out to San Diego and make the decision to stop life support. Very hard to cope with, but life must go on.... right?

Anyway.. I hate August. :po

Yep....life goes on. I did the same for both my parents....Mom in 7/91, Dad in 11/04.

Pete speaks with the wisdom of an elder...
