What Can Ya Say With A Wife Like This?!

Ponyman66

Yak, yak, yak
Several weeks back the wife was asking how much I would need for the remaining large expenses. I outlined the bigger costs, upholstery, carpet, mostly interior stuff, as well as a few "larger" exterior things left. Keep in mind all of my really big expenses have already been addressed (suspension, engine/drivetrain, brakes, paint, etc..). I gave her a ballpark figure and that was that.

I took this week off from work, primarily to get some work done on the coupe. Today out of the blue I get a call at home from her. She tells me, "check your bank account, the money you need is in it." HOLY CRAP!! :yah

Even though publicly she states that she hates Mustangs (which several of you have been present to hear before), I think I'll keep her around for at least another 29 years! :thum

That's 2 things I will NEVER hear from mine. 1. That she hates Mustangs.
2. That she put money in my account.

I think her professed hatred comes from two things. First, I taught...correction, TRIED to teach her how to drive manual in my '65 fastback I had when we were dating. It was a six with the paper three speed. Fortunately I worked as a drive train mechanic at a local Ford dealership at the time. I rebuilt the thing what seemed to be every other week from her tearing it up. The second thing was right after being married we'd take my car I bought right before getting married, my '66 fastback, whenever we'd go anywhere. The car got more attention than she did (read-jealousy!). It went downhill after that. Although, she DID buy the coupe for me!

does she have a sister? oh wait... I'm already married

Yeah Craig, actually she does. Let's just say, I DEFINITELY got the better one though (and I could write a book on all of the reasons why!!).

That's pretty cool. She's a keeper for sure.

I would like to say Jen would do the same, if she had the money. Our deal when I bought my mustang was only my bonus was to be used on the car. Then a couple years ago I had a wheel come off and needed to get the fender replaced. Insurance covered it, but the guy doing the work offered to repaint my entire car for $4500. She told me to go ahead and do it, but I didn't.

mine said the same thing about my cars. when I sold the 40 coupe, guess who was sitting on the tailgate of my truck with tears running down her face when it was leaving???

BTW, thanks for the other day. we'll talk again soon!

You're quit welcome, though I don't know if/how much I helped! I did enjoy the chat though. Call anytime.
