What happened to the what happened to post...

That post has been gone for a couple days or more. That was the only thing I was watching just for the heck of it. As it is now, I don't go there for anything unless to read a referenced post from somewhere else. bob selling the site only made one change....it put money in his pocket. he still has the power he needs and the forum has not changed much at all.

Only difference is you can search for something now. Other then that, the new format is pretty bad. Colors make it hard to read, and having the adds everywhere is ridiculous.

Maybe its my version of Firefox, but I access that forum at work and at home. When I come home from work, the unread threads only reflect those from when I started the computer at home. So for example, I read the forum at work at noontime. I go home, and I find the unread posts beginning at 5PM, not at 12:30 or so. Makes for a pain.

Like Pete, I'm beginning to wonder why I even read it. Oh yeah...I have some ads there. Last time I checked (before the changeover), I wasn't getting any e-mail notifications of private messages. Can one of you PM Midlife on the other site to test whether the e-mail notification still works?

Much obliged.

Some time prior to bobs announcement of the sale, I was cruising other sites and checked some from Auto Forums. I think they all look the same. I never found any sites I liked from their master list. Of well, on to more fun things...........

Too many posts were either locked or deleted for reasons I thought were unnecessary; including the "What Happened" one.

I have noticed some weirdness with the "new posts" stuff on there too. I only read that forum from this computer, but everytime I show up, threads I know I haven't read are flagged as new, and in threads I Have read, clicking the down arrow takes me to a post, but I'll scroll up and there are tons of other posts that I haven't read. It worked great on the old system, works great here at the fix, but over there it's not predictable. Oh well, VMF is less and less important to me as days go by. Which is sad, because I DO love that board.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to have noticed that.
