What liquid do you use in a sonic cleaner?

A buddy of mine in Florida bought a sonic cleaner to clean the carbs on his boat outboard engine. Problem is that nowhere did it say what to use as the liquid. Water?? Parts cleaner juice? It only said not to use anything flammable.

Anyone?

Just saying...whenever I'm unsure of how to proceed it always helps to have a few, that's all.

rubbing alcohol or Trichlor but I bet you will have trouble finding trichlor any more.....

ah trichlor...used to use a vapor degreaser with trichlor. Safety patrol made us change to Freon TF. By 1990 we couldn't even have formula 409 in the shop. If all the chemicals and exotic metals I have been exposed to ever decide to join up forces in my body, I'm a goner for sure.
