What we have here, is a complete lack of respect . . . . .

That was so awesome that I had to back it up and watch it again several times. :steer

Ouch, good luck with the insurance claim.

Since your insurance does not cover dmg from events like this, I guarantee he'll call his carrier and report he lost control while coming off a freeway and hit the curb.

Exactly. :steer :no

It's bad enough when you do something stupid. It's TERRIBLE when it's captured on video! LOL

In '79 I attended a local autocross. It was cold and there was a slight drizzle (more of a mist), which made the course a little more "exciting". One of the participants had a brand new '79 Cobra they just bought the week before. While coming out of a turn they slid out of the course and across the parking lot. Waiting to greet them was a four foot tall concrete lamp post base. Of course, they couldn't hit it square on one of the flat sides. Nooooo, they plated that thing right into one of the base corners...right in the middle of the front bumper! :hide They went home with a "nice new" V-shaped front end! Ugggghhh!! :rant

Looks like California Speedway event. It was good he was not at Willow Springs or some more unforgiving track!

I looked this vid over and over again.Wierd!!
Maybe he slipped from the brake pedal and pushed the accelerator pedal for a brief time so the rear breaks out , followed by a brake move and lost control. :confu :confu

Sad really, that car is toast!

Didn't look like it was too much speed. Didn't really snap around, more gradual. It appears not much opposite lock is put into it till it's already around. No 2 feet in either.

It appears like it shouldn't have happened, yet it was completely out of control. I'm at a loss on this one.

Went back and watched a few other runs by diff cars. Where the Vette loses it, it's right at the end of the course. Maybe too much power applied and not enough counter steer when it started to rotate.

Still weird !! 2nd vid also.
Seems the tires lost grip when applied a certain torque on the road.????
Want to know the brand of tire both cars have in the vids. :confu :confu
