What's it worth?

My neighbor has a 1967 Mustang Fastback all original 37,000 miles, 6 cylinder, auto, Red color, car has no rust and has been garage kept. He wants to know what the car is worth.

True unrestored unmolested, and original Mustangs can be worth $35k on up, depending upon condition to the very few that demand unrestored vehicles for MCA shows and research purposes. If one intends to drive the vehicle, I'd say $10-$15 at most. The 6 cylinder is a killer, though.

I told him I thought it was worth about 15K..

The body alone is easy 15-20k since its in good condition. But be aware that people tend to forget that body damage they had back in 70s 80s, 90s that they had repaired. Anyone that will be looking at it will not care that its a 6cyl. They want the car itself to rebuild. I'd say ask 20 and go from there.

My neighbor is 86 years old, he used to own a dealership and took the Mustang in on a trade when it was about 6 years old. I am sure he would be aware of any problems. I will just let him know what I found out about price.

I like the 6s. Good mpg and still cool.

I got 30 mpg in my coupe in HS.

I wouldn't mind having one again with a five speed installed. Would make an awesome daily driver!

Maybe someday a very with a six as a daily driver.
