password, upper & lower case letters, non consecutive #'s, symbols, etc, man, it took me over 6 attempts to get loggedon here.
it is easier to log onto my work computer & that is entranet based,
what are we so worried about that we need such incription on a password for a mustang forum?
I do not get it.
I mean it was so simple, just type in my phone # & away we go but now, i hae to use upper case, lower case & a #, completely overkill if you ask me.

i believe there was a run in with off shore spammers. Someone with more insight may chime in, But rest assure, your hear now, and were glad to have you.

You must be in the wrong forum, this one is for competent mechanically inclined types, you need to be looking for the Romper Room section.

This is a quote from the first of your two posts. Need I say more?

Dumbster, I'm gonna remember that one and use it.......if stang32 doesn't mind :lol

What's so difficult? Don't fat finger it when you're typing and it's easy.

And welcome. Now let's loosen the suspenders and enjoy the site.

Whatcha talkin about? Loggin' in here is a piece of cake. If they were mean they'd be like work and change the passwords every 3 months...

Why did you put this in Dave's forum? He's got better things to worry about.

We don't setup the rules for the passwords...that is part of the SMF software we use, and we manually mod the software as little as possible, as it makes upgrading nearly impossible.

I'm glad you found a password that works. Sorry you felt it was such a pain. We'll try to make it worth your time.

Tough? I've entered that password twice - once for each computer I use.

Work requires caps, lowercase, symbols, 10 units long, changes every 30 days, cannot repeat within 36 months, and cannot be too similar to your previous password. We have four major systems, none of which share passwords, and change on different schedules.

Wonder if anybody here writes them down? :wm?

You'll have to enter PW's for the protected lounges. This is just the nature of that beast. The PW's on these lounges exist to prevent guests from viewing the contents.

The PW protected boards are where we talk bad about Dave since we haven't given him the passwords....don't let him pull one over on you.

And of course any member is welcome to have the passwords to those boards...just email or PM a moderator or administrator. We'll be glad to help!

If you think this is bad, wait till you cross up Duane (aka blue65notrun'ncoupe) :eek:mg
