where do you buy your brake components?

I'm about to attempt a rear brake job on my car and would like suggestions on where others have purchased the shoes/wheel cylinder/hardware.

I have a choice of:
Pep Boys
Napa
Kragen/O'Reiley's
Auto Zone

There are also some Mustang stores (Sacramento Mustang, American Mustang and Mustang's Plus) if needed.

I replaced the front pads (only) last year with Napa pieces and they seem to do the job.

I've used NAPA or Auto Zone. Check the brand they carry vs the price. Never had any problems with either.

You suggest going with their more expensive parts, assuming they have several levels?
 
Try Carol and Dan at Chockostang , they are great people who are in business for a long time. Do say hello from the dude from Belgium.
 
I usually shop at O'Reiley and NAPA for hard parts, Autozone for other stuff. Agree with buying the best quality brand they carry. Just 'cause AutoZone gives a lifetime warranty on stuff doesn't mean I want to do the job again when a duralast part wears out prematurely. Been there before.
 
Autozone parts are typically junk. Some of their stuff is 'ok', but I wouldn't put anything Duralast on my car.

Napa and Kragen/O'Reilly have better parts. Napa generally has better service (not always), O'reilly usually has better pricing. If you need help finding part #'s, let me know. I have access to database systems for both companies (although I work at O'Reilly's now).
 
check out discountautoparts.com. I use them for all my brakes/engine components, you can not beat their prices & free shipping over 100 bucks.
 
Locally, I normally got to O'Reilly even though there is an Auto Zone literally 100 yards up the road.

The guys at my local O'Reilly know what they are talking about, most of them seem to be old gear heads. Auto Zone locally seems to be a bunch of kids that don't know much of anything past running the register.
