who else here has bad back surgery

So last Thursday I had back surgery done to the L4-L5 area on my spine. I am fairly young, 30 years old to be having these kid of issues. They had to shave part of my spine that was pinching on the nerves, and also enlarge the canal that the nerves run down in behind my spine. They said i am showing early signs of Osteoporosis.(however its spelled). I am planning on going back to work tomorrow since I have a desk job. Up until today I was having trouble getting up on my own. The Dr. told me wife he is pretty sure that I will need further surgery down the road due to my condition.

So who else has had issues or needed surgery.

I had a lumbar lamenectomy back in 2000 so I was lucky, it was just a piece of cartlidge sitting on my sciatic nerve (most pain I've ever experienced and would drop me to my knees at any time). After 4 months of trying steroids, muscle vibration, electric shock, etc. none of it cured it so they went in, removed the piece of cartlidge and smoothed the disc it broke off of. I feel I am back at 100% but still get lower back spasms once/yr. that send me to the PT.

My brother fell from a ladder on an oil rig and has 2 -3 of his disc's fused, he goes down every 3 months and cannot get up, had multiple surgeries so I feel I am very lucky for having had a minor back surger if there is such a thing. A few Dr's have been surprised when they notice the small scar at the base of my spine and ask 'you had back surgery?' so I guess my posture and gate are ok.
