now i find this funny, this thread (when i came in) has 106 views, the attachment of the girl has just over 200 views. People find the need to look at it twice? lol

Could that be because I copied the image location from your post to put it in my avatar? So now whenever anyone looks at a topic that I've posted in it counts as a "view"?

I couldn't figure out how to save the animation to my computer, I can only save a still image.

hmm... maybe your on to something.

Are you sure its not your viewer thats showing it as a still image? Like if your opening it with windows viewer, or paint or something like that. Once you save it, right mouse click on it to open it, and choose open with ... Google chrome, internet explorer etc... It should work.
 
That's probably the case. The count is from the views of the post plus the clicks on the image. So if I read the post and click them pic that counts as two. Nothing to do with the avatar. The avatar is associated with every post crusty has ever done so the count would be much higher.

You're right, it does open correctly with Firefox, but I can't get it to my avatar from there.

there is nothing wrong with using it from the attachment, but if you wanted to keep it somewhere more desirable, all you have to do is upload the photo to photo bucket, or where ever you like storing your pics. Im not sure if the gallery here excepts gifs, at least i've never tried.
