Wierd parts that I'm missing

I found that one of the studs that holds on the defrost diffuser is missing. WTF? I didn't take it off, if I did I would have removed all 4 not just 1. Only thing I can think of is I knocked it off or it fell out while the car was on the rotisserie when I was blasting/cleaning/prepping the shell.

I'm also missing the grommet for the hoses to the windshield washer tubes where they go through the firewall. Its a single grommet with 2 holes, one for the larger supply tube to the pump and the smaller tube that goes to the nozzles.

Neither seem to be available, probabaly going to have to rob them off a parts car or send off for them.

Defroster tube bolt - Surely you can fab a different bolt that would work?

Grommet- Is this the oval hole above the wire harness hole in the firewall? Wouldn't a modified
oval frame rail plug fit this? Then burn two different size holes in the middle.

Sure can, for both. Just wierd that I need to. I swear sometimes parts just vaporize into the cosmos.

Oh they haven't vaporized. You are guaranteed to find them.... usually as soon as you've gone out and sourced new ones!
