This Saturday is the Woodward Dream Cruise, with the week leading up to it being the best time to be on Woodward, you can actually drive. My wife and I came down Monday with the Mustang and yesterday did a oneway pass in her hotrod Mercury Hybrid :). I was surprised Monday at the number of car, yesterday I was completely blown away, at the number of cars, as the days move on things will get even crazier.

. This afternoon I made my way to WW, got a sack of slider hamburgers and a Coke, found a shaded area to enjoy my burgers and look at some cars. At the moment things are quiet, but will be picking up as more people get off work. It should be total (good) Madness by Saturday.

Waiting for the Madness!!

Made it back this evening and things are really cranking. There's a bit of everything here. They're celebrating Chevrolet's 100 anniversary here so there is a LARGE number of Corvette's including a group from the Lone Star State. Here's some picture's.

Thats looks great! I did the Dream Cruise in 2001 with a high school buddy and really enjoyed it. I've heard you can't even get around town on the Fridaynight/Saturday of the cruise it's so jammed with people and cars.

Would like to go again.

Yeah, It is pretty slow on Friday and Saturday it's almost impossible it certain areas. 13 mile rd. and Woodward is where the most is happening so the traffic heading both ways toward 13 mile is slow, slow, slow! This evening it was pretty congested which = slow. Tomorrow will be even more crowded with cars and spectator's, but it's neat seeing all the car's and fun. :steer

I'm heading down Saturday. Not taking my car cause I need the rag joint for my tilt column, but I'll go see what there is to see. I'm on the prowl for another 65-66 coupe project for the wife. I usually take my car down during the week prior to cruise, then my DD on Sat to walk around.

I really prefer the Michigan Ave Cruise and Telegraph cruise, because they're substantially more cruise-able.

Yeah, or the Gratiot or Harper cruise. Not as many cars and not as much excitement.
I was there this afternoon and saw the Chevy parade, a bunch of the new Volts, it was very electrifying. :yah

The only problem with events like this is the sensory overload. I mean really there are so many great cars to see and you want to really look at them all but.....

Yeah isn't that the truth. This event stretch's over 16 miles of Woodward so there is no way to see everything. You just get there and see as much as you can and enjoy. Here's a few more pic's. There are some of these also.
