I really am impressed with the change.....seems like a full personality change
I was able to make good use of my very own wheel charts, combine with some knowledge I gained over the years talking about tires/rim with people and I think....put together a really great looking package for this car.
17x8 4.75 235 45 17 Front
17x9.5 5.5 275 40 17 Rear - Versailles rear with 1/8 spacer added for ascetics...I could have run this without any spacer but I chose to use the 1/8....at least it isn't the 3/8 that was in there when I bought it anymore
The car is a pleasure to drive with the 235s, the old 255s and the place holder 245 felt really heavy with manual steering setup....but coming down just a little more to the 235 really made a difference. Less road tracking, easier low speed steering, but still plenty of grip for turning at speed. Pair with the 275 on the rear running the 17s with the rake I think I helps bring the classic muscle car look into the 2000s

The overall fit is excellent and I took it for a spirited 10 miles romp on highways and country lanes and had no issues with any rubbing.
At the same time I put new tires on the 65 today too.
I've been running a 245 40 17 on the front for years but decided to down size that to a 235 40 17 and once again...its a nice change and makes the car more pleasurable at low speeds.
So the 65 is now sporting
17x8 4.75 235 40 17 front
17x8 4.75 255 40 17 rear
And then....since it was spring....I need to take photos.....a lot of photos
