Offical 2016 WE Gift Exchange

I got a package today. If I was a betting man, I'd expect to find some hunks of twisted blue metal inside. I'll find out in a week.

My gift box from guruatbol arrived yesterday bright and early !! A utility knife/utility tool set, a GT500 model, some oooold Autotrader magazines (California edition) and some ancient Mechanix Illustrated (circa 1966/67). Yes, that's swiss cheese in the lower middle. It says don't open until 12/25 . . . thanks, Mel !!

The cheese was smoked with pistachio shells. The longer it ages the better. I opened up some asiago that was smoked last November and wow was it Good!!

The Autotrader a are some of what was found in piles of stuff at my Fater-in-Law's house. We tossed close to 50 in the trash. The Mechanic's illustrated I bought for the sole purpose of giving car guy buddys as gifts.

You can use the utility knife to cut up your cheese.

SgtJunior I got your WE! Thanks.

Will not be opened until Christmas.

Do I need to feed it or submerge in a a bucket of water?

I got my gift in the mail from Mark about a week ago, but forgot to take pictures before I up and went to drive to NC with Jane... whoops.

Anyways, there was a lot of... odd... stuff in there... no dog shit though so I guess I should count myself lucky :p Among the 80's switchblades, bouncy balls, pieces of hose, and used event registration / drag strip passes, I had the good fortune of finding a 1959 edition of Popular Science in which they informed the general populace about up-and-coming hovercars. But by far the best thing in this package was the book of White Trash Etiquette :D Really needed that one. I see that 5 or 6 other Stangfixers have also read up (those that can read, that is)...

Thoroughly entertained.

Anyways, my package is getting shipped out tomorrow. Little late this year as I had to drive 1400 miles to my other junkyard so I could find stuff to send in it :p Hopefully it will still arrive before Christmas.

I sent you a package in addition to what Mark sent you.

mine went east today as well....I just realized I forgot to poke holes in the box!

my USPS tracking number says the one I sent was delivered on the 14th... but no one has claimed they received it...

Someone mailed a blast of cold air down here to the FL panhandle...sender unknown. I'd like to know who it was so I can send it back overnight express.

Hmmm....I can't see why someone would not claim a gift. I do have it on good authority that it is sitting under a tree!
