Just looking at engine/trans

That set up will bolt right in to your existing engine bay with just the addition of a T5 trans crossmember that can be had at any of the Mustang parts houses. If you go with a Mustang II front suspension it will open up a lot more room for you. As Patrick said, it is a very common and straight forward swap giving you much better power and drivability.

Here is that same basic setup in our 65 with a TCI Mustang II front suspension.

OMG! That looks extremely nice! Looks like the engine belongs there! This does look like a promising engine swap! Thanks guys!

Wow, tarafied(nice to see you!)~ THat would look sweet and right now, I'm pondering everything but within some sort of price range. I actually looked at the Coyote, but ching ching! I'm not very good at planning things, so window shopping and opinions/advice is always welcomed!

Yeah I was just messin with ya s little. I just built that one. It’s a 502 making 615hp on pump gas. But I think you will be happy with that small block. They are good engines. I have a 93 GT and have had others and I really like the 5.0 HO.

Looks like I bought that engine/trans I posted in my first post:) The fella (Richard) came out to our home to see my works/shop, as he had a family get together not far from here so it was just a few minutes out of his way. He was going to bring the drivetrain here( didn't have the money here anyway), but I insisted on going to his place as I wanted to see his toys, plus be a nice drive to get out for a bit. He's a good man, seems incredibly sincere, so I feel I'm making an OK move. I know it will be a challenge, but I'm up for it, plus having you guys here, I'm good to go. I'll post pictures tomorrow evening!

Well, here it is! What else can I say, it supposedly came out of a '90 police car that was crashed(Ford 5.0 engine.jpg Ford 5.0 enginea.jpg Ford 5.0 engineb.jpg Ford 5.0 enginec.jpg Ford 5.0 engined.jpg . The seller bought it and had it ever since. Said it had about 68k miles. I don't know what the plans for it are as of yet. May let my engine guy rebuild it. My thought were to just clean it up, and install it and see what happens! The seller did hook a battery up and spun the engine via starter motor, he has the spark plugs in loosely and shoot oil in now n then. It was 1500.oo. The journey begins;)

I have the ecm supposedly programmed without an rpm limiter, that's what he said. I also got the brake/clutch swingarm for the '90 car, but not sure if it would work.

While at his place, I got to see his project. I don't remember what engine it is, but it's enormous! It's in a '65 Falconengine in falcon.jpg

Cool.

And ask questions if you run into any issues. Some of have been through the efi process.

I'm sure I'm going to be swamped with "how to's" in the near future! Thank you!!

Are you going to keep the fuel injection setup on it? If so there are several more pieces you will need. Happy to share thoughts/answer questions as they come up.

Yes kb3, I'd really like to use the fuel injection; it's so neat! different! Any advice, parts necessary would be great! I can at least start gathering the pieces;) In the meantime, we have a gazzillion boxes we're finally getting to unbox from Harvey, but I sneak in stuff on my projects when I can. I hope to get the 289/c4 our pretty soon, and finish gutting under the dash, wiring, etc. I'm quite excited!
