Looks like someone re-routed the exhaust at some point.

I had one chance at a barn find back in 1990. My uncle knew a guy with a mustang parked in his barn. He took me and my dad out to see it. It was a red 69 convertible. 351, factory ac, PS. Paint was faded but not rusty. Needed a new top and interior was rough. The guy wanted $3000 for it. My dad talked me out of it. Thought it needed too much work. I spent the next 14 years thinking about it until I found my 70.
