WTH is the deal with this dcwg.org big virus thing that's gonna hit...supposedly? Not scanning my computer. If the gov't is sponsoring this, I'm out. *IF* my computer goes down, (prob won't as it's just a way, imo, for the gov't to get you to tap into something of theirs) who's giving me fixing directions? Hell, my life would be easier without the internet when you get down to brass tacks.

2 or so years ago the government busted a hacker ring which had infected about 350,000 computers in the US (more around the world) with a bug that rewrote the DNS you went to (DNS is what turns 74.125.224.72 into www.google.com). The government figured out that if they just shut the servers off, millions of people world wide would instantly lose internet access (or more clearly easy internet access). So they essentially left the servers on while starting a campaign to get the mess cleaned up. They turn the servers off on Monday.

I have not heard of anyone getting any results than good.....maybe it is a way to track you once you have been there.....
