I was glad to see the '84. Brought back memories of my open track days in my '83. I remember the day I grenaded the 7.5" in a hard turn on exit under hard acceleration. That turned into a fun ride...not. Thankfully I had a 8.8" with 3.73's ready to throw in.

Vega love. I had a 71 hatchback back in about 74-75. It was a kind of butterscotch brown yellow color (brellow?). Wasn't too bad of a car for a Vega. Gas prices had shot up to almost $.50 a gallon, so I had to ditch the 396 Chevelle. My wife had a lime green panel wagon when we first started dating that was the typical fill up the oil and check the gas Vega. It died a merciful death soon afterward.

Good write up Mark and JP!

I think your Vega's color was called 'Baby Shit Brown', panel wagon - Drop a 350 in it and that would be sweet....
