Anyone have a running 289 engine? Problem solved!

and want to sell it? Just looking for an interim motor for the 66 till I can get another race motor put together.


It will not be raced, only street driven. No need for a high HP engine.

Hey Mark - have you checked with Tony Shores? One of the guys I talked to yesterday thought Tony had a stocker laying around... :shrug

I helped 68fastwilliams move his old 289 on an engine stand from one garage to another as he is moving houses right now. He isn't putting it back into his 68 as its getting a 351.

He may want to part with it.

Rick has a 347 stroker he is not using. It is still in his car, but he is not using it.

I have nice 5.0 efi motor I can yank out and send you. I'm sure not using it anytime soon.

While I really appreciate the offer...I'd like to just drop one in with no mods. Besides, you'll need it one day!
