AOD Trans

A member of another board has this for sale.
AOD From my 1990 5.0 LX
Worked fine when I parked the car. I'm upgrading and no longer need this. Includes Stock Converter, TV(kickdown) cable and dipstick tube. Converter has a hand written date of june 2006 on it so I guess the trans was gone through sometime around then, the pump is also painted lime green and the whole thing is nice and clean.

I was looking for an evil face in the smileys and couldn't find one. MH

I was interested in upgrading the auto trans in my 70 Mach to a later model AOD type. Would this bolt up to a 70' 351C?

Am in the DFW area in Tx

Yes, bolts up just like it would with any other small block.

Still retain my OEM shifter and driveshaft?

Shifter yes, driveshaft maybe. It really depends which yoke you use, and which rear end you have, the size of driveshaft flange on the rear axle, etc. You can use your driveshaft, but it may need to be shortened.

I think the AOD and C4 use the same yoke.

NPD lists the correct yoke for AOD swaps in their catalog.
